Human Resource Policy – Action for Rural Advancement (ARA)

Action for Rural Advancement (ARA) implements a human resource policy that focuses on inclusive development, research-based planning, and capacity building to support vulnerable communities in Bangladesh. The organization prioritizes evidence-driven approaches in addressing key social issues such as climate displacement, gender-based violence, and elderly care.

ARA conducts in-depth research on the rights and rehabilitation needs of climate-displaced populations, including access to land, housing, education, healthcare, and sustainable livelihoods. These findings are used to design effective rehabilitation models that support long-term social and economic reintegration.

In the area of gender equality, ARA explores the challenges faced by women in coastal communities, particularly gender-based violence and barriers to economic empowerment. The organization identifies and promotes effective interventions that strengthen women’s participation, safety, and independence.

ARA also focuses on the needs of the elderly, including healthcare, psychological support, and residential care, to improve elder welfare services.

Additionally, the organization promotes sustainable livelihoods through research on affordable and eco-friendly energy solutions, diversification of coastal income sources, and the effectiveness of technical training programs. These initiatives help ensure skill development, employment opportunities, and long-term economic resilience.
