Satkhira Correspondent: A high-level District Coordination Meeting was organized in Satkhira under the project titled RENEW (Response, Engagement, and Networking for Excluded Women). The event was successfully implemented by the prominent local non-governmental organization ARA (Action for Rural Advancement), with strategic partnership and funding support from the European Union, Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF), and Christian Aid.

The meeting brought together key district-level stakeholders, government officials, civil society representatives, and women rights activists. The central discussion focused on reviewing the ongoing project milestones, evaluating grassroot challenges, and establishing a robust multi-sectoral support network to eliminate social discrimination against marginalized women in the region.

Presiding over the main session, the keynote speakers highlighted that sustainable rural development can only be achieved when excluded women are given proper institutional space, leadership training, and direct access to public resources. Representatives from the partner organizations reaffirmed their long-term commitment to enhancing community-led tracking systems and improving coordination between local administration and social watchdogs.

The event wrapped up with an interactive planning session where a unified roadmap was drafted to upscale social protection safety nets and secure better policy inclusion for vulnerable women across the district.
