Action for Rural Advancement (ARA) is dedicated to restoring and protecting the environment through sustainable, community-led initiatives that enhance climate resilience and preserve natural ecosystems. In response to the increasing impacts of climate change, environmental degradation, and pollution, ARA works alongside vulnerable communities to promote ecological restoration, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable natural resource management.
A major component of ARAβs environmental interventions is the promotion of mangrove restoration and coastal ecosystem conservation. Mangrove forests play a critical role in protecting coastal communities from cyclones, tidal surges, erosion, and salinity intrusion while supporting fisheries, biodiversity, and local livelihoods. Through community engagement, awareness campaigns, tree plantation initiatives, and conservation activities, ARA supports the regeneration and long-term protection of these valuable ecosystems.
