Training Held for Community Group Members on Safe Drinking Water
A training session on the use of safe drinking water was held with community group members on Tuesday, 4 November, at 10:00 AM. The training was organized by ARA with financial support from the Bangladesh NGO Foundation at the ARA Head Office, involving 25 community group members from Bakhal Islampur 2 & 3 No. Colony of Ward No. 6 of Satkhira Municipality and Kadamkhali village.
The training program was inaugurated with an opening address by Sheikh Abul Kalam Azad, Executive Director of ARA. The day-long training session was conducted by Sultan Mahmud, Trainer, ARA.
Key discussion topics included the use of safe drinking water, maintenance of deep tube-wells, and the roles and responsibilities of community committee members. Over the past month, work related to four deep tube-wells was completed, including their free distribution and installation. A total of 1,550 beneficiaries have benefited from these activities.
The overall program was facilitated by Sekendar Ali, Field Supervisor, ARA, Satkhira.
