Under the Vulnerable Women Benefit (VWB) Programme of the Government of Bangladesh, a structured training initiative was implemented for card-holding beneficiaries in Debhata Upazila. This initiative aimed to enhance the skills, awareness, and livelihood capacities of vulnerable women, enabling them to achieve greater economic self-reliance and improved quality of life.
The training programs were conducted under the guidance and coordination of government authorities, including the Department of Women Affairs, Upazila Administration, and local government institutions, with active support from development partners. Each training module focused on practical, life-oriented knowledge and income-generating skills to ensure long-term benefits for participants.
Through these capacity-building sessions, women were encouraged to adopt income-generating activities, improve financial management practices, and actively engage in savings behavior to strengthen their economic security. The initiative also emphasized awareness on rights, social protection services, and available government support mechanisms.
