Geographically Satkhira district is located at the South-west part of Bangladesh which is also a Climate affected prone area. Every year devastating natural disaster affected on the area.  Some young people identified that the manmade disaster create problem than the natural disaster. Increasing shrimp farming in the area what is gasping the cultivable land and increasing the salinityof the area. In this saturation, the people losing the cultivable land as well as agricultural production. The people are living from hand to mouth, job scarcity and being poor day by day. In 1996, the young people tried to make community group and developed a community forum named Agriculture and Rural Advancement–ARA. That club started to work with community to develop their agricultural production as well as make aware on their entitlements. During the evolution period, ARA have registered from Social Well fare directories on 1999 and started to work with full strength. Then they started to work on ensure safe water, Non-formal primary education and protect human rights violation along with climate change program. Then the organization registered from Jubo Unnayan Adhidaptar on 2001 and NGO Bureau on 2017. Now the organization is working with national and international donors and spreading their activities the entire district with other two districts. During the period ARA also established an Old Age Home at Satkhira as a charitable work of organization by the support of donor, local contribution and ARA own fund.
