About ARA

Geographically Satkhira district is located at the South-west part of Bangladesh which is also a climate affected prone area. Every year devastating natural disaster affected on the area. Some young people identified that the manmade disaster create problem than the natural disaster. Increasing shrimp farming in the area what is gasping the cultivable land and increasing the salinity of the area. In this saturation, the people losing the cultivable land as well as agricultural production. The people are living from hand to mouth, job scarcity and being poor day by day. In 1996, the young people tried to make community group and developed a community forum named Agriculture and Rural Advancement–ARA.

OLD AGE HOME

An Elder Housing Center (Briddashram) was run under the over all management of ARA Sangstha. Among them 14 persons are women and 08 persons are men.

WASH

Bangladesh is a densely populated country of the world. 130 million people live in 1,44,000 sq.km area. Satkhira district is the coastal and saline area of Bangladesh.

DISABLE

In a census of Bangladesh Government, We have informed that 10% people of the country are impairment which is physically and mentally.

HEALTH

Health is the root of all happiness. So, the proverb has health is wealth. Bangladesh is a poor and more densely populated country of the world.
